 | | The Chicago White Sox Host New Freedom Awards Day | The Jim Mullen Foundation and the Chicago White Sox are excited to present New Freedom Awards Day at U.S. Cellular Field!
In 2001, President George W. Bush announced his New Freedom Initiative to help Americans with disabilities integrate into the workforce and promote increased access into daily community life. In 2002, the Jim Mullen Foundation launched the New Freedom Awards project to acknowledge the thousands of men and women who step forward to create new freedoms for people who have a disability. The New Freedom Awards will recognize and honor individuals, organizations, and corporations that have stepped forward to create new freedoms for people who have a disability through the development of products, services, research and inventions.
The Jim Mullen Foundation invites you, your friends and family to participate in the New Freedom Awards Day with the Chicago White Sox to recognize the nominees for the 2003 New Freedom Awards. The date of this game is Friday, April 18th at 7:05 PM vs. Cleveland and tickets are just ˝ price for New Freedom participants and supporters if purchased two weeks in advance.
The goal is to have as many New Freedom participants and supporters present at that game to publicly “Thank” the nominees and show support for the New Freedom Awards. The Jim Mullen Foundation will participate in a special on-field pre-game ceremony to celebrate the formation of the New Freedom Awards.
